As we have been in Phuket for so long we have an insiders view to Phukets night life and know all the good places to go. Whether you want a night of clubbing, a sociable drink with friends or a quiet place to chill out or a stunning sunset cruise, we can help.

The island has something to suit every taste, from live music bands and solo singers, karaoke bars, beach parties, and cheesy go-go bars, to reggae bars and sunset rooftop cocktail lounges. Here are some of our Phuket nightlife favourites.

Patong Nightclubs

Patong is the party centre of the island with hundreds of restaurants and bars, and the largest nightclubs. This is the most touristy area and the majority of people out and about will be holidaymakers, although the locals do like a night out here now and again.

Seduction nightclub is on the infamous Bangla Road in Patong and open until at least 4am. They have venues over 4 floors, but the party atmosphere is in the nightclub itself. International DJ’s make regular appearances, including Goldie who drops in from time to time.

Tai Pan rates itself as the number 1 nightclub in Phuket, maybe you need to check it out for yourself to judge if that is true or not. The music is loud and they have professional dancers to watch. Lots of people head here after the other bars or clubs have closed for the night.

Illuzion has lots of events with 4 international resident DJ’s and appearances from special guests. They can accommodate more than 5000 people and have a huge VIP section.

Phuket Town

Phuket Town is a more laid back scene where it’s possible to mingle with the local Thais. They have some great bars that are small but offer live music and a buzzing atmosphere. There are some very talented Thai musicians and you’ll find a selection of bands playing a mix of popular Thai music and old rock tunes.

Timber Hut is a small club with 2 floors that has been going for years. It has a live band that plays a mix of western popular songs and Thai favourites, and a DJ on certain nights. It can get crowded and the atmosphere is smoky, loud and lively.

Ka Jok See is located in a traditional Sino-Portuguese shop house with newspapers on the floor and wooden beams. People come for the food and the atmosphere. The portions are large and shared Thai-style, and once everyone’s finished eating there is dancing. Dancing on the tables, that is. It’s very dramatic and a lot of fun.

Bang Tao

Xana Beach Club is on Bang Tao beach and is a welcome change from Patong. It’s comfortable and offers a laid back atmosphere with food, wine and cocktails.  You have the view of the ocean, a pool, live entertainment and music to chill out to.

A Phuket cruise at sunset is another option for a more intimate party with friends. Set sail late afternoon for a cool swim before hitting the deck as the sun goes down.

MV Phuket Champagne offers boat trips around Phuket for swimming and snorkelling. Or just relax on deck and enjoy your time with friends and family.
